HHey book lovers! 

And down to earth descending, the frame of clay enkindles,

He springs inside the body the wings of contemplation

And lays the honeyed voice over the silent bosom.

In bondage to the sky, the star, life’s brightest candle,

Ambles around, dictating the newborn human’s fate.

Upon his death, the soul spreads his wings wide 

And blows the star to embers, returning to the sky.

Above is just a fragment from a poem by Mihai Eminescu (Romanian poet, 1850-1889), called "The story of the magician traveling the stars". I attempted this translation because I want to use it a as Motto for one of my short stories.

I often feel there's something just outside my reach,
Hidden in plain sight, beyond my understanding
I grasp little parts of it, like having a deja-vu;
As remembering fragments of past lives
Trying to force out forgotten knowledge.

A whole world of wonders is our there
Praying to be discovered
My restless soul is stepping away from my body,
Seeking to drink from the fountain of wisdom,
Praying to be reunited
With the magnificent glory of eternal light,
From which every creature and mater emerged.
