About
Welcome, dear reader — and thank you for visiting my corner of the web.
I’m Jasmine P. Antwoine, a self-published author and lifelong writer with a love for emotional realism wrapped in speculative worlds. My work spans across genres — science fiction, fantasy, crime-mystery, satire, psychological drama, and children's stories — because stories come to me from every direction, and I’ve made a conscious choice not to silence that chaos. Instead, I aim to cultivate it.

At the heart of everything I write is one persistent thread: the need to make sense of human choices in impossible situations.
My current main project is The Galatean Saga — a sweeping science fiction epic set in the aftermath of war, where silence, memory, and hard-won purpose shape the lives left behind.
This site, Jasmine’s Laboratory, is where I experiment. I reflect on narrative structure, share glimpses into the writing life, post excerpts from my novels and short stories, and explore the strange and beautiful process of storytelling. You’ll also find:
- Insights from my writing projects
- Articles and personal essays about the creative process
- Useful links, lists, and resources for fellow writers
- Memes, quotes, cover previews, and occasional ramblings
- Poetry, musings, and microfiction born in quiet moments
In case you wonder — why “Laboratory”?
It’s not chemistry or alchemy, though the writing life often feels like both.
The word laboratory comes from the Latin laborare, meaning to work. And this is my working space — where all the hard, messy, rewarding work happens.
